Please note that the Retreat is limited to a small number of attendees, to allow for a more personable experience. ALL REFUND REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING VIA EMAIL, NO EXCEPTIONS.

PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW THE FOLLOWING:

1. Payment plans may be available WITH PROCESSING VIA ZELLE ONLY. Email simone@sacredconversations.com to discuss BEFORE JANUARY  5, 2027.

2. After TUESDAY, JANUARY 5, 2027, a booking fee of $500.00 becomes nonrefundable.

3. PAYMENTS ARE DUE IN FULL ON OR BEFORE MONDAY, MARCH 1, 2027.

4. BEFORE MONDAY, MARCH 1, 2027 your payment (minus the $500.00 booking fee, which is nonrefundable) is eligible for up to a 50% refund.

5. Refund and cancellation requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis until MONDAY, MARCH 1, 2027. After that date there are NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS.

6. Any refunds granted will incur a 3% processing fee.

No one books a retreat with the intention of cancelling; however, unexpected events do occur, so please consider purchasing travel insurance.

NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS will be given for failure to attend or complete the Retreat, or for arriving late or leaving before the scheduled conclusion of the Retreat.

THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT; BY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT (hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”), YOU FORFEIT ANY LEGAL RIGHT TO SUE FOR ANY CLAIMS RESULTING FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE 2027 ANCESTRAL EXPERIENCE, ALSO KNOWN AS SACRED CONVERSATIONS WITH OUR ANCESTORS RETREAT (hereinafter referred to as the “Retreat”).

I acknowledge that by my participating in the Retreat and in consideration for my being allowed to participate in the Retreat, I agree to be bound by each of the following provisions of this Agreement.

1. Assumption of Risks:- I want to participate in the Retreat and I fully understand and accept all of the risks associated with my participation in the Retreat, including but not limited to possible contact with water, adverse reaction to food or drink or physical exhaustion and other hazards and injuries which may occur while participating in body movement, spiritual baths, meditation etc., I fully comprehend and accept all of the risks associated with my participation in the Retreat. I understand and agree that it is my responsibility to assess the risks presented and that I am the ultimate decision maker as to whether I can participate in the Retreat. In addition, I authorize Readings By Simone, Simone Arthur and/or her Agents (hereinafter referred to as “Readings By Simone”) to seek on my behalf all reasonable medical and/or mental health care that may be necessary as a result of any injury I sustain while participating in the Retreat if I am reasonably unable to authorize such care myself and this will be at my expense. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU LEAVE THE RESORT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

2. Release and Waiver:- I have read the previous paragraph and understand the risks involved and hereby assert that I WILLINGLY/VOLUNTARILY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY and sole liability for any risks of loss, or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, as my result of participating in the Retreat whether caused by negligence, negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract, breach of statutory duty, accident or other conduct on the part of Readings By Simone. I do hereby release, waive and discharge Readings By Simone and her successors from liability from any and all claims, resulting in personal injury, accidents, or illnesses (including death), and property loss arising from my participation in the Retreat. I expressly agree that the foregoing waiver and assumption of risks is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the Laws of Barbados and New York and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. The Laws of Barbados and New York shall govern this Agreement. I accept the jurisdiction of the court of New York for any claims which may arise from this Agreement.

3. INDEMNITY: - I agree to INDEMNIFY and hold harmless Readings By Simone from any and all claims, actions, suits procedures, costs, expenses and liabilities, including but not limited to, personal loss, injury (whether or not resulting in death), damage destruction or loss belonging to me in my possession as well as attorney’s fees brought as a result of my participation in the Retreat and to reimburse Readings By Simone for any such expenses that may occur as a result of my participation in the Retreat whether caused by NEGLIGENCE, NEGLIGENT MISREPRESENTATION, BREACH OF CONTRACT, ACCIDENT or other conduct on the part of READINGS BY SIMONE.

4. DELAYS: - I agree that any delays in flight on the part of the airlines, change in schedules to travel to and from Barbados will not be the responsibility of Readings By Simone, neither will READINGS BY SIMONE be liable for any damages or expenses, or inconveniences caused by late departures or changes of schedule, strikes or to their conditions, nor will be responsible for the lost or damage to  my baggage or any of my personal belongings.

5. FORCE MAJEURE: READINGS BY SIMONE would neither be liable nor responsible for nonperformance, nor deemed to have defaulted under or breached this Agreement, for any failure or delay in fulfilling or performing any of its obligations under this Agreement if its nonperformance was due to a Force Majeure Event as defined in paragraph 5 (i) of this Agreement.

   1. A Force Majeure Event shall mean any act of God; hurricane; earthquake; flood; tornado; or other casualty; drought; fire; war; riot; civil strife/unrest; acts of terrorism; governmental rule; labor stoppages; lockout; epidemics; pandemic; outbreaks; or any other events or circumstances not within the reasonable control of READINGS BY SIMONE, whether similar or dissimilar to any of the foregoing.   

6. I HEREBY CERTIFY THE FOLLOWING: -

   1. that I am in good health and suffer from no minor or serious physical or mental illness, respiratory or heart conditions or other condition that would make me especially susceptible to injury or disability while performing activities on the Retreat;

   2. that I will truthfully disclose my medical conditions and allergies;

   3. that I will comply with all safety rules of the Retreat;

   4. that during the Retreat, I will use only the transportation provided by Readings by Simone;

   5. that I will not damage or destroy any instruments or equipment given to me during the Retreat and I agree to pay to repair or replace any damaged instruments or equipment caused by me that are in my possession; and

   6. that I am not under the influence of any drug or medication that could impair my ability to safely participate in the activities of the Retreat.

7. Binding Effect: - This Agreement shall be binding upon my next of kin, personal representative, heirs, beneficiaries and assigns and shall inure to the benefit of Readings By Simone.

8. SEVERABILITY: - Each clause, paragraph and provision of this Agreement shall be deemed to be and shall be treated as severable, and any invalidity, illegality or unenforceability affecting any clause, paragraph or provision of this Agreement shall not affect or prejudice the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining clauses, paragraphs and provisions of this Agreement.

I have read this Agreement. I fully understand its TERMS and CONDITIONS and understand that I am giving up my right to sue. I am signing freely and voluntarily without any inducement. I intend by my signature this to be an unconditional release of all liability to the GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.
